  1. OmahaMom

Finally! It’s a long time coming but finally we have an accurate, at-home rapid antigen test. I’ve used it twice on my kids so far, really easy and great for peace of mind. Easy to use and instructions were clear. Would recommend having them around for quick “just in case” testing. At just under $10 per test (it comes as a 2-pack) it’s totally worth it. If you can figure out an at-home pregnancy test, you can do this.

This test is super easy to use. We test our extended family weekly before gathering indoors (just to be super duper safe!) and when my kids get sick (to make sure its not COVID!) My 6 year old had no problem getting his nose swabbed and I like that I can even use it on our 3 year old. The instructions are easy to follow and we have not had any “dud” tests thus far.

A lot of the negative reviews on here can be disregarded, as with any product review, as unrealistic expectations. This is not an antigen test. You can test negative if you do not have enough viral load to be shedding yet. There are different tests avail through the state and they have different advantages/disadvantages, andevena those are vulnerable to false positive/negative results. influenza tests also are not 100%. I will tell you my test instantly (and accurately) showed very positive. My son’s first and, after 3 days per instructions, second were both accurately negative. Plus there is no agreeing to waive constitutionally protected privacy rights just to get a test like there is with the state tests.

I purchased this for my family because it was affordable, convenient, and authorized by the FDA for emergency use. After my nephew was exposed to a major COVID outbreak at his school and he began experiencing symptoms (nasal congestion, vomiting, nausea, and lethargy), my mother performed one of the tests in the middle of the night. We watched an instructional video on YouTube (highly recommended), and she completed the test step-by-step. Upon sealing the test for the 15-minute wait, two purple lines began to appear almost instantly. After the instructed wait time, it showed a very clear positive result. Since this was our first experience with an at-home COVID test, we weren’t sure how reliable it was, but we immediately isolated my nephew from others in the home and began disinfecting. The next day, his father took him to a local wellness center for a rapid test, and it was confirmed that he was, indeed, positive for COVID. While we are obviously saddened that my nephew contracted this awful virus, we are grateful for the BinaxNOW at-home COVID test. It provided an accurate result and allowed us to begin the isolation process much earlier than if we’d waited on his scheduled test at the wellness center. I think this is a useful tool, especially for those who need a rapid result but cannot afford the $55 rapid testing fee that many doctors’ offices charge (outrageous, by the way). Please keep in mind, this result is not accepted for travel purposes.

The product arrived damaged and clearly tampered with. The safety seals on all three boxes I ordered were compromised and the kits were incomplete. I contacted Walmart about this and they REFUSED to refund or replace the product stating it was against their policy to refund this item. So, now I’m out $60 and I have no test kits. Thanks, Walmart. You’ve lost a customer. Poor, poor customer service.

  6. S

Received unsealed box and the expiration sticker sticked with a new expiration sticker. The old sticker says 2023 expiration date

  7. amanda

One box out of 4 purchased at the same time had very faint control lines. In order to see the positive when testing, I had to use another box. It was the first time having this experience, usually this brand of Covid tests have more clear and timely results

  8. Sandra

I would normally give this product five stars. I bought it a few times. Very easy to use and I feel it’s very accurate. This time I ordered four boxes just to have on hand. To find out they put new expiration stickers over the top of the old ones. The expiration date that they put over the top of the old one is 2024-07-09. The original expiration date underneath is 2023-12-09. I have a video of me peeling the sticker back, but I don’t see that I’m able to share the video. Only a photo. So I’ll take a picture of it peeled back, and with it covered up with the new expiration date

  9. MICHELLE

Every single one of the 4 boxes of tests I purchased were faulty. The control line “floated” off of the strip. Not sure if it is due to how they were stored before shipped or what but not one test even had a control line. So $65 down the drain. They are not returnable and I am unable to get in touch with the company.

  10. S

I placed delivery order and the Covid test was tampered with, the box was opened, missing a couple of things, and possibly expired. The box was torn and the sticker that holds it shut wouldn’t even stick again like someone returned it so, I don’t understand why the Walmart employee didn’t care to get a better one
